Conference Program

Overview of Two Days

  • One full day of advanced level Mediation training with Michael Saini (Associate Professor, University of Toronto): “Mediating with Hearts and Minds: Reflections of Emotional Regulation, Neuroscience and High Conflict Relationships.”
  • Panel Presentation and Discussion: “Bridge over Troubled Waters: How to navigate the money conversation” with Jacinta Gallant (Lawyer), Ron Profit (Lawyer), Aaron Wright (Accountant).
  • Panel Presentation and Discussion: with the Honourable David H. Jenkins: Chief Justice of Prince Edward Island and Chief Justice of the Prince Edward Island Court of Appeal (pending), Eleanor Moore (FMC Executive Director and Mediator Winnipeg), and Aaron Wright (Accountant).
  • “Great Expectations: the mediator’s role in preparing clients for shared parenting success.” Jennifer Hubbard (Lawyer and Mediator).
  • “The Mediator’s Art of Questioning” Jacinta Gallant (Lawyer and Mediator).
  • Guests Speaker: The Honourable Jordan Brown, Minister of Education, Early Learning and Culture, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General (pending).
  • “Exploring the DivorceMate Cloud” with Michael Perlman (President DivorceMate Software Inc).
  • FMC Annual General Meeting Saturday, September 29th at noon.
  • Social Evening: a True PEI Evening and FMC Awards Night. Lobster or steak dinner and a lively Irish Ceili with full Irish band with pipes and stories, at the famous Pour House, Charlottetown.
  • Lunch for 2 days included in conference fees.
  • Silent Auction and Exhibitor Booths.

Two days attendance is a total of 12 hours towards maintenance of FMC certification annual continuing education requirements.
